Team Bios

Dr. Dee Sheppard, Veterinarian

Dr. Sheppard grew up in Seminole, Florida. After moving to explore other areas of the country she realized that she had left the perfect place to live. Dr. Sheppard graduated from Louisiana State University in 2004.

She currently resides in St. Petersburg with too many dogs and way too many cats.

Dr. Jennifer Saez, Veterinarian

Dr. Saez graduated from Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She has spent the majority of her career working as a small animal general practitioner and enjoys both internal medicine and surgery. She also has experience in hospice and shelter medicine. Dr. Saez loves to travel and has lived in many places, but is very happy to have settled down in St. Petersburg and become part of the Northwest Veterinary Clinic family. Her pets include an awesome cat named Simon, and a loving golden retriever named Charlie. Some of her other interests include playing the accordion, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Zoe Wilkinson, Veterinarian

Diana, Practice Manager

Diana has worked in the veterinary profession since 1995 and has been a member of the Northwest Veterinary Clinic team since 1999. She is originally from Colorado but now calls St. Petersburg home. She shares her home with her mother and her dog.  She is an avid gardener, artist and loves to travel and hike.

Rachel
, Veterinary Technician

Rachel is originally from Kentucky, but spent some time in the Florida Keys before making St. Petersburg her home. She practiced human dental hygiene before joining the veterinary field, and absolutely loves working and interacting with animals. She and her fiance, Scott, have two dogs, Murphy and Dash, who are the centers of their universe.

Megan, Receptionist

Megan was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia.  She moved to Tampa in 2017 and lives there with her husband, three dogs and three cats.  She enjoys spending her free time at the beach or with her pets.

Tanya
, Veterinary Technician

Tanya grew up in a small town in northeast Pennsylvania. She moved to Florida in the early 90"s, where she was excited to start a new career involved with the medical care and well being of animals. That career choice was strengthened by great mentors and a diversity of job positions. She continues to be an advocate for the patients she cares for and educator for their owners.
She has volunteered with multiple groups throughout the years, including Meals On Wheels, Wildlife Surgeries & Rehabilitation, Magic Beans Therapeutic Stables, and the FWC.
She and her husband have 2 beautiful sons, 2 dogs, 3 cats, 1 cockatoo, and multiple aquatics. She loves outdoor activities and spending countless hours in her garden.

Trouble, 
Clinic Greeter

Trouble has been at Northwest Veterinary Clinic since May of 2013. His duties include keeping laps warm, greeting large dogs and acting as a paper weight.

Sprinkles, 
Clinic Greeter

Sprinkles has been at Northwest Veterinary Clinic since 2020. He supervises all activities in the clinic and generally makes sure everyone is doing a good job .
